Is there anything else on your mind? Is there anything else on your mind?

One of the saddest things is when someone you care about dies. This is really, really hard to cope with and some boys and girls feel sad for a very long time afterwards.

As well as feeling sad, it is very common to have other feelings, like:

  • Angry
  • Guilty
  • Numb
  • Confused
  • Relieved

There isn’t a right or wrong way to feel when someone dies. No one can tell you how you should feel and no one should tell you to “get over it”. Another common thing that can happen in these circumstances is that you can become really anxious that someone else you love might die too. Try and remember that, however you are feeling, it is natural to feel that way and it is your way of coping with your loss. Everybody will lose someone they love at some point in their lives. Even though it’s different for everyone, if you talk to someone about how you are feeling, they will kind of understand.

This is a tough time you need someone to help…
